How often should one get a tick vaccine?

The tick vaccine, or TBE vaccine, is initially given as a series of three doses, followed by booster doses. Two vaccines are given within 1-3 months during the first year, and the third dose 5-12 months after the second. A booster is given after 3 years and then every 5 years. Vaccination recommendations may vary by region, so check local guidelines.
