STDs can easily transmit through unprotected sexual contact, including vaginal, anal, and oral sex. Some STDs, like herpes and HPV, can also transmit through skin contact, even without actual intercourse. Using a condom significantly reduces the risk of infection, but does not eliminate it completely, as some areas may remain unprotected.
